Mutant Hounds: Fusion is the fourth installment in the Mutant Hounds Saga. We revisit its intention as we prepare for its arrival.

Intentions:
The Fused Hounds will progress the story of the Mutant Cartel World by introducing a second Hero Collection and five new character breeds.

The Fusing allows compatible Fusing Materials to be burned with an accompanying M/BAYC or Mutant Cartel Oath in one of four rituals (five if you were lucky enough to secure a Canopic Jar issued to VIPs). Oaths and M/BAYC are not burned burned in this process, but can only be used in single usage with Fusion (a second use is available to VIP Oaths).
Our commitment to lore-building, storytelling and character-driven collections is done with the long-term purpose of deploying IP into games, partnerships and transmedia productions. The Mutant Cartel World was started with this in mind and continues to provide the immersive and participatory building blocks for collectors.
Stories build stronger emotional connections with assets and Serum City is an example of how that relationship can be commercialised.

Community expansion:
There are a maximum of 5,000 possible Fused Hounds in the collection. Half of which can be generated by burning 5,000 potential Mutant Hounds for compatible pairs of Fusing Materials.
The likelihood of all possible 5,000 Hounds being burnt is small, so the reality is that the collection will be much more finite.
Every new collection presents an opportunity for growth. We intend to capitalise on that by inviting new energy into the Mutant Cartel World and strengthening the community in the same turn.
A sale of 2500 Fused Hounds will take place after the Material Burning via a dutch auction.
By capping the auction floor above the cumulative pairing of compatible Fusing Materials, we intend to elevate the starting point and ensure burning remains the incentivised option.

The IP has been licensed to Serum DAO to allow the sale to be conducted under the DAO and for the proceeds to reinforce its starting treasury.
A guaranteed allocation of $SERUM will be available in the TGE and successive seasons of $SERUM allocation. Fusion is the intended destination for the Mutant Hounds Saga and token allocation is weighted to incentivise this.

FUSING PHASES
What is the Fusion process?
Fusion is the next chapter in the Mutant Hounds Saga and has three phases.
What is Fusion Phase 1?
Sacrifice (Burn) your Mutant Hounds to collect Fusing Materials. An eligible pair of Fusing Materials will allow you to Fuse when paired with a Mutant Cartel Oath or an M/BAYC.
What is Fusion Phase 2?
Consume (Burn) eligible pairs of Materials (or a trio with a Canopic Jar) to create a Fused Hound. Explore the possible combinations here.
What is Fusion Phase 3?
Reveal your Fused Hounds
Will I need a Mutant Cartel Oath, MAYC, or BAYC in my wallet when consuming Materials?
Yes. they are eligible for use in a single Fusion each, unless you hold a VIP Oath, in which case you can participate in two Fusions.
Will my Oath, MAYC, or BAYC be burned along with the Fusing Materials?
No, your Oath, MAYC, or BAYC will remain in your wallet while your Fusing Materials will be burned
When will Fusion Phase 2 begin?
Within a week, the live counter will start.
When will Fusion Phase 3 begin?
The Reveal will take place within 48 hours of the auction closing.
FUSING GENERAL
How many Fused Hounds can there be in total?
A maximum supply of 5,000 is possible, split evenly between the direct sale and the evolved burning of Materials.
Can I verify my Fused Hound in the Mutant Cartel Discord?
Yes, you will gain a Fused Hound role and additional server access.
Will Fused Hounds receive a Serum Passport?
Yes, once you’ve claimed your Fused Hound, head to the Hideout to claim your Serum Passport, check your Serum Points and unlock your Reputation.
Will Fused Hounds have 3D models?
Yes, 3D Voyagers that have been purpose-built for the Otherside will be redeemable by holders from within the Hideout.

How will the sale be priced?
The price will be set via a dutch auction. However, there will be an inbuilt floor set against the lowest price of two cumulative materials.
How long will the sale last?

Will minted Fused Hounds in the direct sale be a part of the same collection as Burned Fused Hounds?
Yes
Will there be Megas in the Fused Hound collection?
Yes, there are two Megas for each breed and they are allocated evenly between the sale event and the burning event. Megas will remain unrevealed on-chain until the holder chooses to reveal them.
Will there be Legendaries in the Fused Hound collection?
Yes, there are 10 Legendaries in the collection.
Can I mint an Awakened Fused Hound in the DA sale?
No, Awakened are not available through the Sale and can only be unlocked with the addition of a Canopic Jar during the Burning.
How will the Fusing Hound breed for the DA sale be determined?
Fused Hounds will be randomly allocated from the four eligible breeds during the Sale. The only way to guarantee your selection is through the pre-determined burning of Fusing Materials.
